Paris, Tenn.–The Paris Board of Public Utilities is asking customers to check for water leaks.
BPU serves 5,400 water customers. Another 2,000 homes consume our water as South Paris, Northwest, and Springville customers.
BPU officials said, “We are losing a significant amount of water and we need the help of all users of Paris BPU water. We normally produce 2-2.5 million gallons per day. We hit a peak on Monday of 3.8 million gallons. This is the highest recorded total in our history and is approaching plant capacity.”
PLEASE check your property for burst pipes, especially unoccupied properties. Also, please report any water main leaks on the Paris BPU system. “We have looked all weekend for broken water mains and have repaired those that have been identified. Your help in identifying and stopping water leaks is much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help,” they said.
