Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Health Department has partnered with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee to install a new Little Sharing Library at the pavilion in Puryear.
In 2018, the Henry County Health Department installed five Little Sharing Libraries across the county through the Minority Health Grant. They are located at the Health Department on Joy St., Ogburn Park, McNeill Park, the Church in Paris and Henry Baptist Church.
Other Little Libraries also are located at the Atkins-Porter Recreation Center on Highland St., Paris; Quinn Chapel AME in Paris; Grove School in Paris; Henry Elementary School and other locations.
The aim of the libraries is to increase access to education and promote healthy habits through literacy.
Each Little Library is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to take a book or share a book to the library. For more information about the libraries in Henry County, contact Health Educator Callie Pierce at 731-642-4025.
