Janet Marie “Jan” Danielson, 76, of Paris, Tennessee, died Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Jan was born Friday, December 28, 1945, in Marinette, Wisconsin, to the late Edward Starr Retlick and the late Dorothy Henritta Forslund Retlick. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son: Timothy “Timmy” (Holly) Mayhew; her stepdaughter: Tara Roe Danielson; three sisters: Sally Clements, Geraldine Retlick, and Barbara Retlick; and one brother: Gerald Retlick.
She retired after 28 years as a CNA for Bay Area Medical Center and Northern Luther Home in Marinette, Wisconsin. Jan loved to knit and was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church.
She was married Saturday, October 19, 1996, to Ronald W. “Ron” Danielson, who survives, of Paris.
Along with her husband, she is also survived by three children: Todd (Anne) Mayhew, of Gilbert, Arizona, Tony (Cathee) Mayhew of Marinette, Wisconsin; and Jennifer Mayhew and Connie Willis (close family friend) of Phoenix, Arizona; two stepchildren: Troy (Christy) Danielson, of Houston, Texas, and Todd (Wendy) Danielson, of Henry, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date in Bagley, Michigan.
