Catherine Grace Hartfelder, 93, of Springville, Tennessee, died Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Grace was born Sunday, November 11, 1928, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph Carden and the late Mary Murray Carden. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister: Mary Joan Flaherty.
She was a homemaker who always referred to herself as a “household engineer.” She was Catholic by faith and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Paris.
She was married Friday, March 24, 1961, to her husband, of 61 years: Richard Frederick “Dick” Hartfelder, who survives, of Springville, Tennessee.
Along with her husband, she is also survived by three children: Taffy (Alan) Stockdale, of Springville, Tennessee; Edward “Teddy” Hartfelder of Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Richard Leo “Randy” (Laura) Hartfelder, of Brentwood, Tennessee; one brother: Joseph “Buddy” Carden; four grandchildren: T.J. (Kelsey) Stockdale; Mary Grace (Charles) Russell, Alex Hartfelder and Jack Hartfelder; two great-grandchildren: Finn Stockdale and Gracie Stockdale; and her beloved dog: Bo.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242. The body is to be cremated. A private family graveside service will be held at Holly Mist Cemetery in Springville, Tennessee.
