Anita Carol Michael, 66, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, formerly of Paris, died Sunday, December 11, 2022, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Anita was born Tuesday, March 27, 1956, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late James Fitzhugh Jackson and the late Mary Helen Oliver Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother: William “Poochie” Jackson.
She worked for many years in billing and coding. She enjoyed shopping, watching her TV shows, and being home with family.
She is survived by her husband: Robert Simmonds, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two sons: Boone (Jennifer) Michael, of Puryear, Tennessee, and Jeremiah (Doree) Blount, of Dickson, Tennessee; one sister: Debbie (Gary) Elkins, of Buchanan, Tennessee; one brother: Lawrence (Amy Rose) Jackson, of Paris; and two grandchildren: Killian Blount and Alex Akin.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242. The body is to be cremated.
Memorial visitation will be Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with a time of sharing to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
