
Paris, Tenn.–It’s a highlight every year as the Henry County Schools board of education Thursday night honored teachers who have achieved tenure.
A reception was held at the meeting for this year’s group of newly-tenured teachers. They are:
Harrelson School: Tandy Rye, Michael Newman, Jade Colley.
Lakewood: Morgan Peale, Jacklyn Kelly Baker
Grove: Kaitlyn West Landrum
High School: Paige Drew, Stephan England
Central Office: Melissa Rowlett

The students who designed this year’s winning district Christmas cards were announced:
K-2 Liam Witherspoon, Harrelson; Grade 3-5 Emilie Moyer, Harrelson; Grade 6-8 Annie Grace Snow, Lakewood; Grades 9-12 Will Lampe, High School. Director’s Choice Jayden Conn, High School.
The candidates named for the Grow Your Own Candidates program were: John Norwood, Kelsey Hudson, Jeanna Owens, Tara Littleton. The program is through the State Department of Education and it pays tuition and books for teachers’ further education.
