Dale R. Reuter

Dale R. Reuter, 85, of Paris, Tennessee, died Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.

Dale was born Tuesday, November 2, 1937, in Villa Park, IL, to the late Herman William Reuter and the late Margaret Barnowski Reuter.

He retired after many years in the tool & dye industry making airplane parts for military aircraft.  In his last years, he worked as a truck driver in the trucking industry and enjoyed fishing.  Dale was a member of First United Methodist Church in Paris.  He was a member of the masonic lodge, where he became a Master Mason and went on to become a Shriner.

He was married Saturday, July 27, 1957, to his wife of 65 years, Doris Anderson Reuter, who survives, of Paris. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one grandchild: Christopher Reuter.

Along with his wife, two sons also survive him: David (Susan) Reuter, of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and Darin (Holly) Reuter of Aurora, Illinois; one sister: Joan Lester, of Montgomery, Illinois; two grandchildren: Jessica Reuter of Republic, Missouri, and Jackson Reuter, of Springfield, Oregon.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one grandchild: Christopher Reuter.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.  The body is to be cremated. 

Memorial visitation will be Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the Heritage Room of First United Methodist Church, 101 East Blythe Street, Paris, Tennessee, 38242, with the memorial service beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Joy Weathersbee officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 25, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.
