Dover, Tenn.–If you have followed the Stewart County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page the last few years you’re aware that about this time every year the Grinch has shown up in Stewart County uninvited.
Sheriff Frankie Gray said, “We don’t know if it’s because so many businesses and people put out so many Christmas goodies and so many decorations and gifts or if there is just so many other of his Grinch buddies and supporters living here. We are sure that he will be up to his old tricks of eating Christmas goodies, swiping decorations and doing his best to put a damper on the Christmas spirit overall.”
Rest assured that the Sheriff’s Office will be stepping up patrol and keeping an eye out for him to slip up.
He was sighted today coming in by canoe on the Cumberland River by an alert fisherman.
