Paris, Tenn.–Kane Price and his big heart have done it again. For the third year in a row, he has organized a food drive for the local animal shelter instead of birthday gifts.
This year, he surpassed his goal, raising $1,200 for the animals at the Paris/Henry County Animal Shelter.
The first year of his food drive, he raised $500. Last year he raised $1,000; and this year he was able to raise the $1,200 with which he donated a mountain of bagged food for the dogs and cats that are at the shelter that is operated by the city of Paris on Recycling Drive.
His birthday party was November 12, but he started collecting in October. Kane is 11 and a student at Paris Elementary School.
His mother, Amber Hill said, “He definitely has a big heart and love for animals.”
