Paris, Tenn.–Even Santa needs a Christmas present. Santa’s house arrived in downtown Paris this morning and has both a new look and a new location.

Students at John Harrison’s shop class at Henry County High School added a ramp and railing to the house, which has been moved to the middle of the north court square and away from the traffic of the corner, where it had been located.

Downtown Paris Association officials also acquired a real Christmas tree–for free–which will be placed next to the Santa house along with lights, decorations and a bench for photo opportunities.

Rachel Steedly of the Chamber/Downtown Paris Association also thanked G1 Shed Haulers for transporting Santa’s house from the high school to downtown Paris.

Steedly has acquired a real Christmas tree –for free –that wil be set up next to the Santa house and a spot for photo opportunities will be created there. Decorations and lights will be set up and Steedly said they are looking to borrow some items to make the scene even more magical: wingback chair, outdoor bench and electric fireplace. If you have any of those items, please let her know at 363 0318.
Depending on what the weather has in store, plans ae that Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves will arrive at the house at 10 a.m. Friday on a Paris Fire Truck. Santa’s house will be open Friday after he arrives to listen to childrens’ Christmas wishes. You can also see him on Saturdays from 10am – 2pm and Sundays from 2 – 4pm through December 18th.
