Advance tickets for the game will be sold via the GoFan digital ticket platform (https://gofan.co/tssaa) for $8 each (plus fees). Physical tickets will be available at the gate for $10 apiece.
Kickoff for the second-round contest is set for 7 p.m. at UT Martin’s Graham Stadium.
The game will match a pair of nine-win teams and will be a rematch of a regular season contest won by the Chargers.
Westview – the defending state champions – will enter the game having won nine straight after an 0-2 start and was ranked No. 4 in the final Associated Press poll.
The Chargers are in the playoffs for the 27th time in program history and have posted a 34-25 record all-time in the postseason.
Union City, fresh off a convincing 48-12 Round 1 victory over ninth-ranked Freedom Prep in Round 1, was listed at No. 10 in the final AP rankings.
The Tornadoes have qualified for the playoffs in 31 seasons – including the last 18 in a row. UC owns four state titles (2009, 2013, 2014 and 2017) and finished as runners-up in 1997, 2000 and 2005.
UC’s all-time playoff record is 53-26.
The Union City-Westview winner will take on the victor of the Huntingdon-Fairley matchup in the state quarterfinals next week.
