Martin, Tenn.–A Sharon man has been charged with aggravated assault, evading arrest and discharge of a firearm after a domestic altercation Sunday in Martin.
Jonathon Jones, age 29, is being held in the Weakley County Jail.
Martin officers were dispatched to East Peach Street around 10 a.m. on a report of domestic assault and possible gunshots fired.
According to the report, Jones discharged a firearm in the air during a physical altercation with the victim in which he punched her in the face and followed her as she tried to leave with the children, firing the gun in the air.
Oficers found a 9-mm shell casing at the scene and a handgun in Jones’ vehicle.
