Paris, Tenn.–Paris Landing State Park Manager Zach Tinkle has been promoted to State Parks Area Manager, overseeing nine state parks in Northwest Tennessee.
Tinkle has been the local parks superintendent at Paris Landing since 2018.
Tinkle said he will still live in Henry County and will manage the state parks in Area 1, which will include nine state parks, including Reelfoot Lake, T.O. Fuller, Pickwick and other northwest Tennessee parks.
Ranger Tim Caldwell will serve as Acting Paris Landing State Park Manager until a replacement for Tinkle is hired.
At Monday’s meeting of the Henry County Tourism Authority, Tinkle was presented with a certificate of appreciation from the group by Henry County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway.
Ridgeway said, “We’re sad to see you go. You’ve been a huge help to us, especially with all the big events we’ve had at the park, including the Tennessee River Jam and all our fishing tournaments.”
