
Mr. Jimmy Winsett, 79, of Union City, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Jimmy was born Thursday, July 8, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Walter Allen and Mabel Pearl (Little) Winsett. He was also preceded in death by his sister: Mary Lou Ward; and his stepfather: Henry Anderson Hicks.
He worked at the former Superior Fireplace in Union City for 27 years. Jimmy was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam conflict and was of the Baptist faith.
He married Janice (Harris) Winsett Friday, February 17, 2012. She survives.
He is also survived by two sons: Tony Allen Winsett, of Union City, and Kevin Lynn Winsett (Laura), of Evansville, Indiana; one daughter: Cayce Nicole Driggers (Jeffrey), of Union City; one sister: Libbye Hayes (Robert), of Union City; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his caregiver: Brittany Winston.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Monday at Stovall Cemetery near Rives. Brother Ron Gray will officiate.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at service time.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
