Counterfeit Oxycodone Containing Fentanyl Leads To Arrests

Murray, Ky.–Calloway County Sheriffs Office conducted an investigation into potential Fentanyl trafficking which has resulted in arrests at a Murray home.
The investigation ultimately led detectives and deputies to 157 Welch Dr. in Murray, KY. Controlled drug purchases were made which resulted in the acquisition of suspected counterfeit Oxycodone M30 pills containing the deadly drug Fentanyl.
On October 17, the  Calloway County Sheriffs Office, assisted by Marshall County Sheriffs Office, executed a search warrant on the residence. During the search Joshua C. Evans and Robert A. Steele were located inside.
Evans was observed destroying a large amount of counterfeit Oxycodone M30 pills containing Fentanyl. Both were taken into custody on the below listed charges. Located inside the residence was a substantial amount of marijuana, additional prescription pills absent a legal prescription, drug trafficking materials and a loaded firearm. Evans, a convicted felon, was out on probation at the time of his arrest.
Both Evans and Steele were lodged in the Calloway County Jail on their charges as follows:

* Firearm Enhanced Trafficking in Marijuana (8 ounces – 5lbs), 1st offense
* Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon
* Tampering with Physical Evidence
* Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
