Paris Man Sought After Assault Of Two Women

Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a Paris man who took off after barricading himself inside a home where he had assaulted two women.
Henry County Sheriff Josh Frey said Billy Spencer, age 56, is considered armed and dangerous and anyone having contact with him is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 731 642 1672.
At 6:11 p.m. Thursday, the sheriff’s office received a call of a domestic assault at 5645 Old Paris Murray Road.
The caller said the suspect had assaulted two female victims at that location. Upon arrival of officers they were meet in the yard by one of the victims. The victim told officers that they had been assaulted by Billy Spencer and that he was armed with possibly two handguns.
At that time, Spencer was believed to still be inside the home according to the victim and that he had barricaded himself inside a bedroom. After several attempts to call Spencer out of the home. officers received no response.
After an extended period of time deputies made entry into the home. Once inside the home it was determined that Spencer had left the home prior to the arrival of officers and without the victims knowing.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office currently has warrants for the arrest of Billy Spencer on the charges of domestic assault, assault, elder abuse and interference of an emergency call.
