Michelle Johnson, 67, of Jackson, Tennessee, died Thursday, October 13, 2022, at her residence.
Michelle was born Friday, February 18, 1955, in Kennett, Missouri, to the late Milford B. “M.B.” Johnson and the late Anna Mae Childress Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers: Ron Johnson, Rickie Johnson, and Rudy Johnson; and one niece: Allison Bryant.
She loved the sunshine and lived to be on the water and in the outdoors. Before her health declined, Michelle formerly attended Tennessee Valley Community Church and was baptized there. She formerly worked at Dana Corporation as a forklift operator. She enjoyed singing and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her two daughters: Tonya Burchum, of Jackson, Tennessee, and Tracie Brewer, of Paris, Tennessee; three sisters: Becky Gooch, of Paris, Beth Johnson, of Jackson, Tennessee, and Jody Bryant, of Clarksville, Tennessee; her grand pup: Shadow; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242. Visitation will be Friday, October 14, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with David Featherston officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Heath Berry, Mike Swindle, Trey West, Tyler West, Marty Johnson, Chad Bryant, and Scotty Brown. Named as honorary pallbearers are Michelle’s nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, Tennessee.
Memorials may be made to charity of the donor’s choice.
