William Charles “Bill” Dodd, 69, of Henry, Tennessee, died Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.
Bill was born Friday, February 20, 1953, in Lexington, Tennessee, to the late Charles Curtis Dodd and Glenna Mae Black Dodd, of Henry, Tennessee, who survives. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one sister: Deborah Ann Collier Bradwell.
He retired after many years in the trucking industry as a truck driver. Bill was a car enthusiast and loved antique cars, Corvettes, and drag racing. He enjoyed working in his yard and loved watching the hummingbirds and deer. Bill loved his family very much. He was a member of Henry Baptist Church.
Along with his mother, he is also survived by one sister: Sheila Diane Dodd Cox, of Henry, Tennessee; four nieces: Allison Cox, of Henry, Tennessee, Ranae (David) Argo, of Georgia, Elizabeth (Brad) Orgeron, of Texas, and Amanda (Lea) Collier-Hardin, of Georgia; numerous cousins; and his love: Glenda Gore, of Henry, Tennessee.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242. Visitation will be Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Henry City Cemetery in Henry, TN, with John Sutton officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow the graveside service in Henry City Cemetery.
