Mrs. Virgie Wallace, 93, of Dover, Tennessee, was called home to be with the Lord Monday, October 10, 2022, at Diversicare Nursing Home, Dover, Tennessee.
She was born Saturday, November 3, 1928, the beloved daughter of the late Willie and Sadie Shaw Wallace. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her devoted husband: Corbett Wallace, Sr.; son: George Corbett Wallace, Jr.; daughter: Gladys Jean Wallace, Pamela Barbie Sykes; brother: James Wilson Wallace; and sister: Margie Spiceland.
Mrs. Virgie was an avid gardener and loved working outside. She enjoyed cooking for her family, serving them and having everyone together in her home. She loved nothing more. Mrs. Virgie was a very faithful servant. She loved the Lord and was a member of New Hope Church of God.
Her loving family left behind to cherish their memories: son: Mitchell Todd Wallace (Beverly), of Dover, Tennessee; daughter: Beverly K. Hawkins (Wayne), of Big Rock, Tennessee; sister-in-law: Donna Milliken (Terry); grandchildren: Justin Hawkins (Kristen), Gina Eatman (K.C.), Jennifer Biggs (Korey), Jessica McCarty, Rachel Stall (Zach); 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Arnold Edmondson officiating. Burial will follow at Jackson Cemetery, Dover, Tennessee. Those serving as pallbearers are K.C. Eatman, Justin Hawkins, Korey Biggs, Zach Stall, Harley McCarty, and Jesse McCarty.
