A memorial service for Mrs. Ruth Byron Metcalf is Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday at 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment is at Mt Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Metcalf, 92, died Saturday, October 1, 2022, at AHC of McKenzie.
She was born Monday, February 3, 1930, in McKenzie, to Thomas Clarence (TC) and Cora Bell Schrader Lankford.
She was a member of McKenzie Church of Christ, a seamstress for local factories and daycare worker with Brenda Beadles Daycare.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Robert (Bob) Metcalf; sister Doris Smith and brother Merrill Lankford.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations please be made to McKenzie Church of Christ.
