
Antionette Wallace Owens, 95 of Paris, Tennessee, died peacefully at home with family Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
Antionette was born Friday, December 17, 1926, in Elva, Kentucky, to the late Thomas Eli Wallace and the late Carrie Sullivan Wallace. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother: Max Wallace; one sister-in-law: Louise Wallace; and one son-in-law: Charlie Robertson.
She was married Sunday, April 21, 1946, to Charles Delmer Owens, who preceded her in death Saturday, September 30, 2006.
She attended Toler’s Business College and then went to work in the Register of Deeds office in Henry County until 1947. Afterward, Antionette transitioned from the workplace to the home, where she became a homemaker and started raising her children. She was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church for 77 years, where she was a member of the Homemakers Sunday School class. She loved sewing, enjoyed working in the yard, and volunteering for the Henry County 4-H Club.
She is survived by three daughters: Gail Robertson, of Paris, Jan Owens, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Tracy (Rusty) Turner, of Paris; one son: Grant (Loral) Owens, of Springville, Tennessee; nine grandchildren: Paige Wood, Chip (Ardy) Robertson, Caleb (Sara) Darby, Magen (Perry) Cantrell, Trent (Tara) Turner, Carrie Turner, Ashley (Jerame) Park, Tyler Owens, and Breanna Owens; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242. Visitation will be Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, Tennessee, with Ben Whitmire officiating.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow the graveside service in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
