Cottage Grove, Tenn.–Local landmark Carmack’s Fish Barn is being rebuilt and its loyal customers couldn’t be more pleased.
Carmack’s was destroyed by fire in September 2021. It had been open since 1984 and was well known for its good catfish, beans and hush puppy plates.
Owners had announced some months ago they planned to rebuild and posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page that progress is being made on the project. “We got our plumbing down and our trusses delivered! Now just waiting on our concrete, so hopefully our building can go up soon!,” they said. “BIG Thank you to Corey Radford – Henco Spetic and Dallas for all your hard work this weekend!”
Carmack’s is located at 2165 Hwy. 140N, Cottage Grove.
