McKenzie Man In Critical Condition After Accident

Henry, Tenn.–A McKenzie man was critically injured in Friday afternoon’s one-car crash near Henry.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has issued the preliminary report, which identifes the driver as Brian Travis, age 49.

According to the report, Travis was eastbound on Hwy. 140 around 4:50 p.m. when he exited the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. He was driving a 1996 Toyota Tercel.

The driver was extricated from the vehicle and airlifted by Vanderbilt LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Medical Center.

In addition to the THP, the Henry Volunteer Fire Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Henry Police, McKenzie Fire & Rescue, Baptist Carroll County EMS, Carroll County Rescue Squad were called to the accident which was near Mitchell Loop.

We published an article on the wreck Friday, but the THP had not issued their report identifying the driver at that time.
