All-City Party In McKenzie To Celebrate State Award

McKenzie, Tenn.–Mark your calendars for this Thursday, Sept. 15th at 6 p.m. for the All-City Party celebrating McKenzie winning the statewide award for Small City Progress. The celebration will be held in downtown McKenzie.
City officials also will be recognizing and honoring three of their long-time business owners who are retiring: Dr. James Padgett, Marvin Newman, and Linda Coleman.
The Farmers Market vendors will be set up in the downtown Veterans Park in the square along with many of the local businesses and industries. There will be free hot dogs, chips and drinks for the first 200 party guests and lots of giveaways and goodies including cake.
If you have missed out on the fresh summer produce, this is your chance to catch up and sample the just picked okra, squash, peas, tomatoes, fall gourds, breads, cookies, jams, jellies, home decor, natural cleaning products, candles, organic poultry and more.
The celebration starts at 6 p.m. ad music by the Fajita Brothers Band begins at 7  p.m., so be sure to bring your lawn chair to enjoy music under the stars.
The McKenzie Farmers Market is open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon or until vendors sell out, and Tuesdays from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. through October 29th.
