Wednesday, August 31, is International Overdose Awareness Day and the Henry County Prevention Coalition is inviting everyone to come to the Henry County Courthouse at 7 p.m. to surround the courthouse in purple.
They are asking everyone to wear purple Wednesday in honor of the day and to send photos of your office and staff in their purple to add to their social media pages. Tag @henrycountypreventioncoalition.
The evening event is organized to honor lives lost and the family and friends left behind.
