Paris, Tenn.–Henry School students and staff presented their Bicentennial Quilt to members of the Paris/Henry County Bicentennial Committee during the just-ended Henry County Fair.
Students in Teacher Flynn Watson’s fifth grade social studies class, with assistance from Henry’s art teacher Val Godina, created the quilt as part of their contribution to the ongoing Bicentennial celebration in both Paris and Henry County and as part of their Civics-based 5th grade project.
The quilt was displayed on the fairgrounds and Bicentennial committee members thanked them on a job well done.
Godina said the quilt is acrylic painted on canvas. Plans are for the quilt to be displayed at the Henry County Archives.
