
Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Fair Junior Livestock Sale broke records this year, with the grand total raised of $425,038.15. In making the announcement Saturday night, fair oficials said, “We’ve had a RECORD-BREAKING YEAR for our Junior Livestock Auction! Thank you, Buyers, for supporting the Youth of Henry County!”
A total 94 livestock–steer, hogs, lambs and goats–were auctioned off and the mild weather lent itself to a large crowd inside the Livestock Barn Thursday night. The sale also was televised on Facebook Live thanks to the Henry County Fair.
The sale was opened with Finley Homesley singing the National Anthem, with the four Grand Champion exhibitors presenting Colors. Fair officials said, “We are so humbled by everyone’s generosity in giving back to the Junior Livestock program of Henry County.”
In the steer show, Gatlin Gulish won Grand Champion Steer, bought by Norwood Construction and Drake Logging, $7.50. Remi Gardner won reserve champion bought by Pioneer Managment and Channing Michael won champion born and bred bought by Twin Rivers Ortho; Caden Delaney won reserve bred and born bought by Orr Investment.
Parker James won Grand Champion hog, bought by Landworx Contracting, $8; and Bryleigh Hayes won reserve grand champion, bought by B&G Equipment, $8. Chloe Beecham bred and born grand hog, bought by Tosh Pork $7; Zeb Beecham bred and born reserve hog bought by Allegro $7.
Charlotte Shultze won Grand Champion Lamb bought by Farm Bureau Women and Jack Schultz won reserve bought by Perkins and Chilcutt.
Addison Delaney won Grand Champion goat bought by Henry Co. Farm Bureau. She also won reserve champion bought by Security Bank & Trust.
