McKenzie, Tenn.–There will be a lot of sweetness in downtown McKenzie this weekend for the annual Sweet Tea and Southern Pickin’s Festival Friday and Saturday, August 26-27.
Southern Fried Funnies will be performing at the Park Theater in the evenings and afternoon, a kids’ zone will be set up with kids’ activities, food trucks and numerous vendors will be on site, Susie’s Petting Zoo and water slides will be set up.
Live musical entertainment will be provided on Friday by the Fajita Brothers, 6-8 p.m. and King Beez from 8-10 p.m. and Saturday, Flashback from 6-8 p.m. and the Paula Bridges Band from 8-10 p.m. Earlier on Saturday, Colton Baker will be in the gazebo from 2-4 p.m.
The Carroll County 4-H will have the vegetable derby for the youth and they will be giving away sweet tea in the Farmers Market to cool off celebrate the festival on Saturday.
