Obion County Fair Begins Saturday

Union City, Tenn.–The Obion County Fair begins Saturday with the annual beauty contests.
Days for the fair are August 20-27. Activities include Journey tribute, duck calling contest, Demolition Derby, petting zoo, musical entertainment, Mud Madness and more. You can keep track of the fair activities on the Obion County Fair FB page or website.
Here are the latest numbers on how many will be competing in the pageants Saturday:
0-11 months Wee Miss: 12
12-23 months Toddler Miss: 13
2-3 years Tiny Miss: 9
4-5 years Petite Miss: 13
6-7 years Little Miss: 12
8-9 years Young Miss: 11
10-12 years Jr. Miss: 8
13-15 years Teen Miss: 6
16-21 years Fairest of the Fair: 4 – 13
NEW for 2022: The Obion County Fairest of the Fair, ages 16-21, will receive a $1,000 cash prize, $250 spending money for the State Fair Convention in January, $250 for a hair and makeup stylist at the State Fair Convention, hotel expenses paid at the State Fair Convention, and her entry fee paid for the Strawberry Festival!
If you would lile to be a part of something really special, here’s your chance. Sunday, August 21st at 11 A.M. The Refuge church along with Greater Bethel Church of God in Christ will provide worship for all the Obion County Fair workers.
This is our 6th year to have this opportunity to share the Gospel Message of Jesus with those who come to serve our community with fun rides and events for the Fair.
We will have 1 hour of worship with singing and a Co-Lesson with Pastor Ezra Johnson and myself. The Lord’s Supper will be offered to anyone present.
At 12 P.M. we will serve a lunch of Pork Loins, Baked Beans, Hash Brown Casserole, and Desserts.
Everyone is welcome to come and encourarge and worship with those who have come to our communtiy to work the Fair.
