Michael King Defeats Long-Time Carroll County Judge Larry Logan

Huntingdon, Tenn.–Long-time Carroll County General Sessions/Juvenile Court Judge Larry Logan was defeated at Thursday’s election by Huntingdon Attorney Michael King.

King won the election handily, garnering 3,169 votes (68.05 percent) versus Logan’s 1,488 votes (31.95 percent).

King said, “Thank you Carroll County for the opportunity to serve as your next General Sessions/Juvenile Judge. I want to thank everyone who came out to vote. I am truly humbled by all the support that I received across Carroll County. I also want to thank my family and friends, who worked so hard throughout this campaign. I am blessed to have you in my life.”

In other Carroll County election news, Brock Martin will be the Republican nominee for State Representative in District 79 after defeating Gordon Wildridge, 1,554-802.

Martin said in a statement, “It has taken me some time to find the words and I doubt what I say will even be enough. Thank you for electing me as the Republican nominee for State Representative for House District 79! There aren’t enough ways to say thank you. I am beyond humbled to have the support of so many of you and look forward to continuing the journey to be your voice in Nashville!”

Sheriff Andy Dickson defeated challenger Tim Pratt, 3,004-1,605.
