Wade Sworn In As Henry Co. Clerk & Master

Paris, Tenn.–Albert Wade Jr. was sworn in as Henry County Chancery Court Clerk & Master by Chancellor Vicki Hoover during a ceremony at the courthouse on Monday.

As Clerk & Master for the Chancery and Probate Court, Wade will be responsible for completely overseeing the administration of each of these courts. The Chancery and Probate Court handles various types of litigation, including but not limited to all aspects of family law, adoptions, real property disputes, delinquent tax sales, partition lawsuits, guardianships, conservatorships, name changes, and estates. 

Deputy Clerks sworn in on Monday were: Jannie Sanders, Tracy Beville, Deborah Goldman, Laura Parker and Donna Wade.

Wade said he was extremely honored to have been chosen by Chancellor Hoover for this position. “Likewise, I am humbled and privileged to have the opportunity to work under Chancellor Hoover, Circuit Judge Bruce Griffey and Circuit Judge Brent Bradberry. I have been tasked by the Chancellor to make the Henry County Chancery Court the most proactive and user-friendly court in Tennessee,” he said.

Chancellor Hoover said, “We are very fortunate to be able fill the position of Clerk & Master with an attorney with Mr. Wade’s experience in law and finance. I am looking forward to working with Mr. Wade to develop and expand the services offered in Chancery and Probate Court to ensure that we not only meet, but also exceed the needs of our community.” 

Wade is lifelong resident of Henry County and prior to accepting the appointment served as a partner in the law office of Greer & Wade, was associate attorney with Greer & Greer and City President of Firstbank. He currently is the Municipal Judge for Puryear.

He has a Juris Doctorate from the Nashville School of Law and was admitted to practice in all Tennessee Courts in 2009. He has an undergrate degree in business administration from Bethel and earned a graduate banking degree from LSU and an undergraduate degree in banking through Vanderbilt University.

He is married to Andrea and they have three children Alyssa, Zach and Rachel.
