Paris, Tenn.–Henry County voters reelected Inbumbent General Sessions/Juvenile Court Judge Vicki Snyder in a tough race against Chad Cox.
Long-time Judge Snyder received 2,675 votes, or 55.59 percent, while Cox received 2,136 votes or 44.39 percent.
The Henry County Commission will look different, with Incumbents Rev. James Travis, Wes Bradley and Drew Williams losing their bids for reelection.
Newcomers on the County Commission will be former Paris Police Chief Chuck Elizondo, Ralph Wiles, Melissa McElroy, Deputy Ricky Wade, and Patrick Burns.
The County Commission race for District 3 was already decided in March, with Incumbents Monte Starks and Marty Visser winning reelection and Missy Hamilton winning her bid for election.

There were long lines of voters at both Harrelson and Lakewood voting centers late Thursday, with some 60 people in line at Harrelson a half hour before the polls were closed.
Henry County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway was unopposed and he thanked everyone for their courtesy votes. “It’s an honor and privilege to serve as Henry Co. Mayor. I appreciate every candidate who stepped in there to run. No one is a loser because everybody cares about this county moving forward. So I applaud everybody who ran.”
Henry County Sheriff Josh Frey said voter turnout in Henry County was good. He said he checked on all the voting centers in all the precincts throughout the day. “First two years have been great. I’ve been excited. Still excited about serving the people of Henry County. I still love coming in to work every day. I appreciate the courtesy votes and am humbled to be serving the people of Henry Co.”
Frey also gave a shout out to Henry County Elections Administrator DeLaina Green and her crew for their professional job during the election.
New Henry County Commissioner Missy Hamilton said she was honored to be elected and was looking forward to joining the commission.
