
Paris, Tenn.–A Paris couple is being held on $300,000 bonds each on drug charges, as well as aggravated child abuse and neglect after their arrest Sunday night by the Metro Crime Unit, Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Paris Police.
Paris Police Chief Ricky Watson said, “I want the public to know that if you’re dealing in marijuana or marijuana derivatives that our officers are actively searching out those individuals and that we will continue to prosecute those offenders to the fullest extent of the law.”
On the night of July 24, a search warrant was conducted at 155 Logan Rd. Paris, at which contact was made with Rheasha Gaskins and Timothy Vanmierlo.
Investigator Lt. Derrek Colley said Vanmierlo was in a small building on the property along with three small juveniles and Gaskins was inside of the residence.
The search warrant on the property was executed and there were multiple items found in the building where Vanmierlo and the juveniles were located. In the building there was approximately five five boxes of cannabis infused chocolate bars, some 13 bottles of THC infused syrup, several boxes of THC gummies, approximately five packages of THC infused cookies, approx. 22 boxes of mushroom infused capsules, approximately 10 mushroom infused chocolate bars, approximately 10 containers of THC wax, digital scales, glass container with marijuana, several pieces of Drug Paraphernalia, heat shrink machine, and a money counter.
In the home was found THC infused syrup, drug paraphernalia, and a small safe that contained an undisclosed amount of money. Vanmierlo’s vehicle, a 2012 Nissan Leaf, was seized.
Vanmierlo and Gaskins were arrested and taken to the Henry County Sheriff Department. They were both charged with Possession of Sch I drug with intent to sale, Possession of sch VI w/intent, possession of sch II w/intent, Agg. Child abuse and neglect, possession of drug paraphernalia.
Vanmierlo’s bond and Gaskins bond was set at $300,000 each.
