Martin, Tenn.–With school set to begin soon, the Martin Police Department hosted a two-day SRO Refresher Course this week with all of the neighboring School Resource Officers.
Class covered child abuse, mental health, legal updates, live-fire training and active shooter training.
Martin Police Chief Don Teal said, “We enjoyed training with SROs from Martin PD, Weakley County Sheriff’s Office, Union City PD and Obion County Sheriff’s Office. Huge thank you to all of the agency leaders for allowing their SROs to come to the class. It was amazing to listen and watch each of the SROs dedication and concern towards the duties of their assignments! These folks really care about their schools and everyone in them.”
