Huntingdon, Tenn.–The bass boats are coming to Carroll County. County officials are expecting 70 teams to be fishing at the Carroll County Thousand Acre Recreational Lake this week, as part of Bassmaster Junior National Championship.
The 2022 Championship will be 8th time the tournament has been held here. All roads to the Bassmaster National Junior Championship will bring you to Carroll County.
Carroll County is honored to be the only location to host the Bassmaster National Junior Championship.
Chamber Director Brad Hurley said, “We expect several hundred to descend on Carroll County for several days. Teams can begin to practice on the lake starting Tuesday, July 26, 2022. The tournament starts on Friday, July 29, 2022 and ends on Saturday, July 30. The boats will launch at 5:45 am each day and weigh-in will be held at 1:45 pm each day at Billy Cary Park, in downtown Huntingdon.”
The public is invited to attend both the launch and weigh-in ceremonies.
