Our amazing “Bill Bailey” went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 12, 2022. He died peacefully at home with his loving family surrounding him.
Bill worked as a third generation Pipefitter at Pipefitters Local Union #597 since 1970. He retired and moved to Tennessee in 2011. He enjoyed doing volunteer work and, when moving to Tennessee from Naperville, Illinois, volunteered at the Family Resource Center, Backpack Programs, and the Food Bank. He was a social man and will always be remembered for his sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lynne Bailey; his children: Michael Gerald Bailey (Judy), and Melissa Joy Bailey-Mulka (Paul); six grandchildren: John Michael Bailey, Keely Marie Bailey-Rodriguez, Rena Michelle Bailey, Liam Joseph Bailey, Nicole Michelle Mulka, and Patrick Mark Mulka; three great grandchildren: Kaleb Ignacio Rodriguez, Novalee Marie Rodriguez, and Weston Dunning Mulka.
He was preceded in death by one daughter: Michelle Jacqueline Bailey-Moga (Michael).
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242. Visitation will be Saturday, July 16, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Don Williams officiating.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois.
Burial will follow the graveside service in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
