McKenzie, Tenn.–A fire that started along Hwy. 423 burned some 50 acres of soybean field Friday afternoon.
McKenzie Fire & Rescue was called to the fire at the intersection with Hilliard Road at 5:38 p.m.
McKenzie firefighters brought their tanker, as did the Macedonia Fire Department (from the Carroll County Rural Fire Department). Personnel from White Farms also assisted.
