Effie (Trinkle) McGregor

Mrs. Effie (Trinkle) McGregor, 94, of Dover, went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 3, 2022.

She was born on Wednesday, November 30, 1927, in Montgomery County, Tennessee, daughter of the late Clyde Clayton Trinkle and Helen Swift Trinkle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Eugene McGregor, brother: Benjamin Clayton Trinkle and sisters: Helen Royster and Mary Crockarell.

Mrs. Effie was a member of the Ft. Donelson Memorial United Methodist Church and taught elementary school in the Stewart County School System for many years.

She is survived by her daughter: Betsy Ignacio, grandchildren: David Littleton (Lisa), Jenny Littleton, John-Charles Ignacio, and Lacy Ignacio (Sean), and great grandchildren: Lauren Littleton, Logan Littleton, and Lennon Ignacio.

Visitation for Mrs. McGregor will be Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Anglin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Willie Lyle officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be George Sexton, Charles Crockarell, David Littleton, John-Charles Ignacio, and Derek Earhart.

Honorary pallbearers will be Courtney Trinkle, Mary Mockabee Newsome, the nursing staff of Diversicare of Dover, and her caregivers: Tammy Knott, Nikki Webb, Gail Brake, Carlene Gilmore, and Shirley Sills.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
