
Paris, Tenn.–Henry County was awarded $10,000 through the State of Tennessee’s ThreeStar Program.
The ThreeStar Program focuses on five foundational pieces of community development; Jobs & Economic Development, Fiscal Strength and Efficient Government, Public Safety, Health and Wellness, and Education & Workforce Development. These five areas are identified as being critical to ensuring the success of Tennessee communities.
The Paris-Henry County Industrial Committee serves as Henry County’s program administrator verifying all eligibility requirements are met to ensure Henry County remains certified as a ThreeStar community.
Recently, Dr. Leah Watkins, Director of Henry County Schools and Dr. Norma Gerrell, Director of Paris Special School District were presented with a check for $5,000 each for the school system’s work in Employability Counts, an education and workforce development program. Both school systems recently completed the pilot year for the program and are excited to see the program continue to grow.
