
Paducah, Ky.–A Paris man was arrested after allegedly firing a handgun outside a Paducah nightclub Thursday night.
Cody L. Teneyck, age 30, of Paris, was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
According to the press release, Paducah Police were called about 10:25 p.m. Thursday to a business on Olivet Church Road. A witness said two people had been fighting, one of them a man named Cody, wearing a red shirt. The witness pointed out a pickup truck that belonged to “Cody,” and officers saw a handgun inside.
Officers said while they were investigating, a man wearing a red shirt walked up and was identified as Cody Teneyck of Paris, TN. Teneyck agreed to be interviewed and admitted to Det. Casey Steenbergen that the pickup truck was his, and said that inside was a handgun he had used to fire several shots in the parking lot.
Steenbergen said there were approximately 50 people in the parking lot and nightclub at the time.
