
Hazel May Butler Harber, 91, of Paris, Tennessee, died Monday, June 13, 2022, in the loving arms of family at Eiffel Gardens Senior Living in Paris.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Paris, where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School class. Hazel was the co-owner of Butler & Harber Shoes and The Shoe Harber in Paris from 1958 until her retirement in 1989. She loved her church, her family, her children, and grandchildren very much.
Hazel was born Tuesday, August 19, 1930, in Humboldt, Tennessee, to the late Tommy Richardson Butler and the late Gordie Lineberry Butler.
She was married Thursday, November 29, 1945, to Bill Harber, Sr., who preceded her in death Monday, October 31, 2016.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons: David Earl Harber and Dr. Ron Harber; one daughter-in-law: Jo Ann Dotson Harber; and two brothers: Floyd Butler and Clyde Butler.
She is survived by one son: Bill (Kay) Harber, of Paris; one daughter-in-law: Melanie Harber, of Paris; one sister: Sue (Earl) Dowdy, of Somerville, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242. Visitation will be Sunday, June 19, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 4:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Dr. Trent Bullock officiating.
Loving family members will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, Tennessee.
