Henry Co. Soil Conservation Scholarships Awarded

Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Soil Conservation District recently awarded three $500 scholarships to  Henry County students who plan to major in and pursue a career in an Agriculture or Natural  Resources related field.

The Charles W. “Dickie” Brewer Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Blake Kennedy, son of Chad & Stephanie Kennedy. Blake graduated from Murray State  University in May with a degree in Agricultural Systems Technology and will continue Graduate  studies at MSU this Fall.

The Henry County Soil Conservation District Scholarship was awarded  to graduating Henry County High School Seniors Josey Pettit and Addison Delaney. Josey,  daughter of Tommy & Amy Pettit, plans to attend Mississippi State University this Fall  and major in Ag Economics. Addison, daughter of Scott & Heather Delaney, plans to attend  Murray State University this Fall and major in Agriscience Technology.

The Henry County Soil  Conservation District is very proud of what these students have accomplished and wishes them  the very best in their future endeavors! Congratulations to the Class of 2022!
