Sibyl Routon Ries, 66, of Paris, Tennessee, died Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Mrs. Ries was born Thursday, October 6, 1955 in Paris, Tennessee, to Norman Richard Routon and ViAnne Hudson Routon, who both preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ries was a Catholic by faith. She was an amazing baker and a wonderful cook. Sibyl was known as a people person who took care of many people. She was a loving wife and mother who dearly loved her family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to: National Hemophilia Foundation, Catholic Charities or the American Cancer Society.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Ries, of Paris, Tennessee, who she married Tuesday, October 19, 1999. She is also survived by her daughter Misty Deal, of Littleton, Colorado, her son Matt (Kris) Mullins, of Centennial, Colorado, her grandchildren Sean Hammett and MariJayne Deal, her sisters Lynn Routon, of Lake Helen, Florida and Michelle McGeeney, of Yukon, Oklahoma and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
A grave side funeral was held at 2 p.m. June 12, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery with burial following. Bro. Randy Stephens officiated over the service, while family and friends served as pallbearers.
