
Alma Lee Martin, 94, of Paris, died Friday, June 10, 2022, at AHC Paris.
Born Saturday, November 19, 1927, in Paris, she was daughter of the late Harold Mathison Ellis and the late Sallie Nigel Gateley Ellis.
She married Wilburn Franklin Martin Saturday, May 18, 1946, who preceded her in death Sunday, April 11, 2010.
Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son: Richard Franklin “Dickie” Martin; brothers: Richard Eugene Ellis and Billy Joe Ellis; a granddaughter: Elizabeth “Libby” Ford; and a great grandchild: Kolby L. Johnson.
Alma enjoyed cooking, canning, and gardening. She was a lifelong member of Springhill Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. Her passion in life was loving her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Cheryl J. (Ron) Eaker and Roger “Bubba” (Sherry) Martin, both of Paris; six grandchildren: Amelia Kate Martin, Maddie (Robert Buchner) Martin, Cody D. (Kelly) Bumpus, Brady M. Bumpus, Christopher D. Martin, and Tara (Anthony) Johnson; eight great grandchildren: Tate C. Lee, Savannah R. Houston, Caden Martin, Brayden L. Martin, J. Cooper Johnson, Kera Grace Haines, Eden J. Bumpus, and Opal M. Buchner; two nephews: Billy Ellis, of Texas, and Randy Ellis, of Paris; and one niece Sheila Daughtery, of Paris.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 13, 2022, at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., and continue Tuesday, June 14, 2022, after 11 a.m. until the service time. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.
Pallbearers for the service will be Christopher D. Martin, Cody D. Bumpus, Brady M. Bumpus, J. Cooper Johnson, Caden Martin and Anthony Johnson.
Burial will follow in Bevil Cemetery.
