Union City, Tenn.–A select group of third and fourth graders from Union City Elementary School was recently rewarded with a trip to Discovery Park of America as a part of the school’s Discovery Kids program.
Eleven third-graders and ten fourth-grade students were honored for demonstrating excellent behavior and character for the fourth nine weeks of the 2021-22 school year.
Each student was nominated for the honor by their respective classroom teachers.
Students wore purple UCES shirts to DPA to show their Tornado Pride and explored the park’s many different exhibits and features during their day-long visit.
Union City Elementary School Guidance Counselor Regena Lindsey and other school personnel served as chaperones for the field trip.
