Paris, Tenn.-Attempting to serve an arrest warrant on a Paris woman turned into an ordeal for law enforcement and resulted in the arrest of three others.
Meredith Taconi, age 43, of Paris, was arrested on charges of possession of unlawful drug parphernalia, evading arrest and resisting arrest.
Henry County Sheriff’s deputies William Whitaker and Jeff Charles went to a home on West Blythe St. to serve active warrants on Taconi. According to the report, she asked to step back inside so she could put on her shoes and disappeared inside the house.
Charles was stationed at the back door and there were vicious dogs in the house. After Whiteaker called for Taconi to come out, and she didn’t answer, he called for backup.
Officers searched the house, but didn’t find Taconi at first, but arrested two other women–Blakk Moon, age 26, and Brianna Lyles, age 24, both of Paris–who were hiding in a bedroom and had active warrants on them.
Members of the Paris Fire Department arrived with ladders and the attic was searched. Taconi was not found, but Ricky Hart, age 34, of Paris, was found there and he also had active warrants on him.
Officers finally found Taconi inside a trap door inside the house. The arrest involved a struggle, wth her reportedly jumping back into the trap door and struggling against the handcuffs. Deputies used a stun gun on her and she was found to have a marijuana pipe on her person during booking at the Henry County Jail.
