jody-cash-crop-2

Motorists traveling in the Murray area should be aware of heavy traffic near the CFSB Center on Saturday for the funeral of Calloway County Chief Deputy Jody Cash.

Officers from law enforcement agencies across the nation will be attending the funeral, creating heavy traffic near the CFSB Center during the day Saturday.  The funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m., CDT.

Between approximately 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., the funeral procession is expected to leave the CFSB Center entrance on KY 121 to turn south onto U.S. 641/North 12th Street.  The procession will then turn east on U.S. 641-Business/Chestnut Street to travel to the Murray Cemetery entrance.

The funeral procession is expected to be lengthy.  Streets along the route could be blocked for an hour or more.

Members of the public who would like to pay their respects to this fallen officer may gather along the route.

The funeral procession route will originate at the CFSB Center (green star). The procession will enter KY-121 in front of the CFSB center where the circle drive is on the northeast corner of the CFSB Center. Then it will travel on KY-121 to US–641 (North 12th Street) and turn right onto US-641 (North 12th Street). The procession will proceed south on US-641 (North 12th Street) and take a left onto Chestnut Street. The procession will then travel east on Chestnut Street to the entrance of the cemetery where it will turn left into the cemetery. The red star in the cemetery is the location of the mausoleum where the entombment will take place.
