Dr. David Wray Adams, Sr., 82, died Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at St. Thomas Hospital Nashville, Tennessee.
He received his Doctorate in Chiropractic and his office was behind his home in Vicksburg; he was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. Dr. Adams was born in Como, Tennessee to Ernest and Flossie Mae Holland Adams Monday, December 25, 1939.
Dr. Adams is preceded in death by his parents, two sons: David Wray Adams, Jr. and Eric WC Adams, sisters: Violet Spicer, Irma Nell Baker, Velma Cuff and Linda Bowers and brothers: Dalton Adams, Delbert Adams, William Adams, Russell Adams, Elvis Adams, and Billy Joe Adams.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Adkins Adams, of Dresden, children: Rose Ann (Darwin) Getts, of McKenzie, Kathy Baker, of Constantine, Michigan, David Alan (Denise) Adams, of Fulton, Michigan, Byron D. Clothier, of Vicksburg, Marsha Ismaili, of Vicksburg and Maria Poole, of Vicksburg, 13 grandchildren Susan Nelson, Darwin Getts II, Jason Getts, Byron J Ooten, Sky H Baker, David Alan Adams, Jr, Nina Bostocky, Hassan Ismaili-Alaoui, Adam Ismaili- Alaoui, Isabella Poole, Abbigail Poole, Felicia Adams and David Wray Dahlgren and 15 great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Dr. Adams will be Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Sand Hill Baptist Church Gleason, Tennessee. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday, 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment is at Caledonia Cemetery, McKenzie, at a later date.
