Weakley Co. Deputies Receive Life Saving Awards

Dresden, Tenn.–On April 30, 2022, Deputy Crocker was dispatched to a residence on Chicken Road outside of Dresden, for a welfare check.
Deputy Crocker knocked on all the doors of the house and noticed the screen doors were locked from inside. The vehicle belonging to the subject of the welfare check was located outside the residence in the driveway. Deputy Crocker could also hear dogs barking inside of the house.
Sgt. Kimsey, Deputy Roberts and Deputy Aguilar arrived on scene shortly after Deputy Crocker arrived. Forced entry was made into the residence and the victim was found unresponsive in the bathroom near the rear of the residence by Deputy Crocker and Deputy Aguilar.
Deputy Crocker placed the victim on the floor and began immediately doing CPR with Deputy Aguilar assisting. SGT. Kimsey and Deputy Roberts relayed information to dispatch and moved furniture to have room when EMS arrived on scene. Minutes later EMS arrived on scene and the victim was flown to a hospital in Nashville.
WCSD Life Saving Award recognizes an employee(s) for an act resulting in saving or substantially prolonging a human life.
Weakley County Sheriff’s officials said, “Join us in recognizing and honoring these deputies in going above and beyond the call of duty on this call for service.”
