Martha Ann “Mot” Curlin

Mrs. Martha Ann “Mot” Curlin, 79, of Memphis, passed away 9:21 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2022, at her home. She was a former resident of Hickman, Kentucky.
Mot was born Monday, January 18, 1943, in Hickman, Kentucky, daughter of the late Robert E. Lee and Mary Elizabeth (Williams) Caldwell. She married James Alton Curlin Saturday, December 2, 1961. He passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James Caldwell and Billy Joe Caldwell; and two sisters, Betty Goff and Carolyn Caldwell.
Mrs. Curlin had been employed at the District Attorney Generals Office of Memphis and Shelby County from which she retired. She also worked for the Drug Enforcement Task Force to help them out for several years. Mot was a member of Business Professional Women and member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis.
She is survived by one son Jim Curlin (Emily), of Gadsden, Alabama; one daughter Jennifer Cannon (Mike), of Millington; eight grandchildren: Paige Morganelli (Jon), of Munford, Amber Steele (Kevin), Codi Dilday (DJ) and Jake Curlin (Sara), all of Union City, and Mitchell Cannon (girlfriend, Alisa Sigler), Wesley Cannon (girlfriend, Chelsea Ferrell) and AJ Cannon, all of Millington, and Jaylon Thompson, of Gadsden, Alabama; nine great grandchildren, Morgan Palmer, Kinley Steele, Kannon Steele, Briley Kate McKinney, Austyn Brooke Dilday, Tucker Dilday, Remi Underwood and Colston Van Curlin, all of Union City, and Allison Brooke Morganelli, of Munford; and three sisters, Jeanie Baggett, Treva Lewis (Gary) and Melinda Caldwell, all of Union City.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Blake Hatfield officiated. Burial followed in Brownsville, Kentucky, Cemetery.
Visitation was held at  Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.
Pallbearers were Kevin Steele, Jake Curlin, Jon Morganelli, Michael Fletcher, David Goff and Robert Cooper.
Honorary pallbearer were Mack Cooper, Chad Bing, John Ward, Kannon Steele, Tucker Dilday and Coleston Curlin.
